1.4501 Super duplex stainless steel is one of the most widely used super duplex stainless steel grades. This grade is written as 1.4501 or X2CrNiMoCuWN25-7-4 according to EN norm and it is written as UNS S32760 or F55 according to UNS norm. We can think that 1.4501 is a slightly better version of 1.4410 super duplex grade. Bircelik has the biggest 1.4501 super duplex stock in Turkey. 1.4501 stainless has a good corrosion resistance and also good mechanical properties. 1.4501 material is one of the most widely used super duplex grade.
There is a number which is called PREN numer and this number shows the corrosion resistance of the material which will be used in petrochemical industries. In most of the petrochecmical applications, minimum PREN number required is 40 and 1.4501 stainless steel materials also confirms this PREN number. So because of this reason, 1.4501 super duplex material used mostly in petrochemical industry.
