1.4122 stainless steel is a martesitic stainless steel grade, which can be hardened with heat threatment. This grade is written as 1.4122 or X39CrMo17-1 according to EN norm. 1.4122 material is usually produced according to QT750 heat threatment condition. So QT means Quenched and tempered and 750 means the minimum tensile of 750 MPA. 1.4122 stainless is always ready at Bircelik warehouse and you can always provide this grade from Birçelik ready from stock. 1.4122 material does not have a really good corrosion resistance but still enough for many applications. The mechanical properties of 1.4122 is good and because of high carbon content, the hardness can be above 50 HRC after heat threatment. This grade usually used in pump shafts, checmical indistries, when high mechanical values and high hardness is required.
